Day 5 - October 4, 2008

I thought I'd get a post out this morning just to let you know where things stand. They've taken her off seditives entirely for the time being, but she's waking up very slowly. She will open one of her eyes when one of us kids talks to her. The nurse tells us that may be as much as we get today, but that's completely normal. The docs haven't been by yet today - it was a rough night in the trauma center - 15 separate traumas, so it may be a bit before we see the trauma docs.

Couple of other things - if you're planning to come by, please come to the Critical Care Waiting room (2nd floor, toward the East end). That's where we're camping out. We'd like to keep the traffic through the ICU as light as possible. We're hoping to let her rest as much as possible today to let her lungs heal. So, we've got a corner here in the waiting room where we can talk.

More whenever we receive an update!
